Once we are stuffed and ready to go, we have a final thirty minutes of driving on a zig-zag unpaved road to reach the starting point of our trek. You will have a little time to gather your things before leaving. The first section lasts two and a half hours, and you will be able to observe magnificent landscapes dotted with small glacial lakes along the way.

When we arrive at the Waqrapukara viewpoint, you can rest a bit and take your first photos of the impressive fortress that sits on the edge of a canyon.

Next, we will descend for about forty minutes down a steep cliff-edge path to the site itself as the Apurimac River flows swiftly below. You will be able to explore the archaeological site for about an hour and a half, climb the remains of the temple and take photos in front of the incredible landscape of the canyon.
