This two-day Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley tour will take you back in time. On the first day of the tour, you will be visiting prominent sites Pisac and Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
You will then embark on a scenic journey by train to Aguas Calientes. The route offers captivating views of the Peruvian highland region. You will witness the snow-capped Andean peak as the journey would begin and the view changes to the lush tropical jungle as you reach Aguas Calientes.
The second day of the tour is dedicated to visiting Machu Picchu.
Sacred Valley of the Incas is home to the prominent Inca archaeological sites. The Incas were dedicated to farming and the sites here are testament to it. Villages in the Sacred Valley of the Incas have the most fertile soil in the country. This favored the Incas to experiment with crops and determine the best conditions needed to produce.

Cusco Hotel Transfer
We will be driving you to Pisac early in the morning. Nicknamed the Andean Hippie Town, Pisac is home to a vast Inca Ruin that is perched on a hilltop overlooking the valley.
In fact, the archaeological site of Pisac is so massive that it is just second to the renowned Inca city of Machu Picchu. Here our local travel expert will be giving you a guided tour. You will be visiting the remains of Inca temples, ceremonial sites, agricultural terraces, and more.
After the tour, we will be driving you down the hill to the center of the town. Pisac is famous for Andean handicrafts. Craftsmen from the neighboring villages gather here to sell their products. So, if you are looking to buy some souvenirs at a great price, this is the place.
Once you have had your fill of this charismatic town, we will be driving you to Urubamba. Rightly referred to as the heart of the Sacred Valley because of its centric location. Here we will be stopping in a local restaurant where we will be serving you a buffet lunch.
After relishing an Andean meal, we will be driving you further to Ollantaytambo. This was the former administrative capital of the Incas. The town is snuggled between two hills, each housing an Inca site.
We will be visiting the main archaeological site here. Our local expert will be giving you a detailed tour where you will understand the prominence of the site to the Inca empire.
This is the same site where the infamous battle of Ollantaytambo was fought in 1531. The sacred site was turned into a blood-filled battleground.
After dwelling on the history, and exploring the Sacred Valley, we will be driving you a bit further to Ollantaytambo train station. Here you will embark on a two hours scenic train ride. You will witness a change in sight from snow-capped Andes mountains to lush tropical Peruvian Amazon jungle.
Once in Aguas Calientes, we will be accommodating you in one of our partner three-star hotels in Aguas Calientes.

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will be taking the 25 minutes bus ride to visit Machu Picchu. Our travel expert will be assisting you in passing the security control here. Please note that you must carry your original passport which will be verified against your ticket.
Once inside the citadel, we will be giving you a two hours guided tour. You will be visiting the main plaza, remains of the royal quarters, ceremonial sites, temples, and more. After the guided tour, you will have some free time to explore the citadel on your own.
If you have permits to climb Huayna Picchu mountain or Machu Pichu mountain, our tour guide will be directing you to the respective trailheads.
Alternatively, you may hike to the Sungate. It requires no permit and is free to enter. This is the point of entrance for those hiking the esteemed Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
After the tour, we will be taking the bus back to Aguas Calientes town. You will have some free time to walk around this small town or have lunch at a local restaurant.
We will then take the train back to Ollantaytambo. Our representative will be meeting you on arrival and will be transferring you to Cusco City in our private transport. We will arrive in Cusco by 10:00 PM.
